Starting December 13, 2019 Bill.com is adding an additional layer of protection during customer login by implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA).
This affects all Bill.com administrator roles as well as certain other Bill.com roles with permissions to pay or edit bills, or to edit payment, customer, vendor or user information.

MFA requires the user to enter a separate and unique security code that can only be used once to log in to Bill.com in addition to a password.
Upon implementation of this change, individuals assigned to these impacted roles will be prompted at login to provide a mobile phone number to receive the MFA security code by text, or any phone number that can receive a call for the verification code.
For users who have already set up MFA for Bill.com, no updates are required but the user will be prompted for the MFA security code at login.

Update to get the latest version of TLS 1.2, so you can ensure continuous payment processing in QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale.
TLS stands for Transport Layer Security which is a cryptographic protocol that is used to increase security over computer networks.
TLS is the replacement of SSL although it can still be referred to as SSL.
It has been evolving as time passes to keep up with more complex security requirements to fix cryptographic flaws.
The latest version is TLS 1.2.
We are enabling QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale to communicate strictly on TLS 1.2 protocol by making few updates to the system registry keys that will provide more secure communication.
